I am about to buy a tv for a bedroom wall.
Is it safe to wall mount a tv above a radiator.
The fix for this if you re set on mounting above a fireplace is a wall mount that pivots the tv downward.
Your wallmount should be attached to a stud.
Pointing the tv toward the sofa is the only way to ensure picture quality with lcds.
In most cases this won t be a problem but depending on the house you may find that the space between studs makes it difficult to mount a tv.
Provided that you don t mount the tv directly above the radiator i can t see you having any problems.
Your tv is heavy and the wall you choose for mounting must be able to support it.
I though i would ask if this would be an issue because i imagined it would have been.
Consider a full motion movable tv wall bracket.
This is the area in question.
I was thinking about grabbing a 32 tv to go at the end of my bed however there is a small radiator at the end and i would be mounting the tv just above it.
When the heating is on you could just pull the bracket into the out position and when the heating is off you could fold back to.
There is a new central heating radiator on the wall and the tv would go directly above it.
So will this be an issue when the radiator is on.
The electrician is concerned that the radiator may affect the lcd.
Hello i would like to mount our flat screen tv in the bedroom on the wall but it would be directly above the double panel central heating radiator currently the tv sits on a chest of drawers against the radiator which is next to the radiator and this hasn t caused any problems but am concerned about the heat coming directly up if it was on the wall will that cause any problems.
